Chickens & Daffodils
I enjoy painting chooks! This was oil on a stretched canvas and was inspired by the beautiful beds of daffodils that appeared in a garden in Balnarring, again on one of my walks. |
Crested Pigeons
These beautiful friendly birds, along with their young, are regular visitors to my yard. |
Don's Rooster
|
Eastern Rosellas
Beautiful visitors to my home enjoying the olives beneath the tree. |
Emporer Penguins
This painting is quite large and was done from a photo as a special wedding present for my niece and her husband. They are both very fond of penguins. It is edged with a small black frame and looks wonderful in their home. |
Feeling peckish
This oil painting is framed with a narrow grey timber box frame and has now been sold. |
Flash - keeping guard!
At Lazzar's Winery in Balnarring, they have a magnificent family of geese on the property. Every day Flash the dog does a great day of rounding up the geese and keeping an eye on them. Here she is guarding them from the wood heap! Lazzar's is an excellent winery to vist - outstanding wines, food and owners. |

Friends
Happy times growing up, visiting farmyard friends! It was a thrill to be awarded winner for the "Best Oil Painting" at the 2011 Red Hill Agricultural & Horticultural Show, Red Hill, Victoria. This painting was inspired by a visit to the animal shed at the Melbourne Royal Show where children were able to pick up and hold the chickens. As a child I spent holidays on a sheep farm and loved the experiences with all the animals. |
Galahs - a great pair!
Galahs are regular visitors to our home and I so enjoy seeing them every day. |

Golden Pheasant
What a magnificient bird! This Golden Pheasant belongs to my friend and lives on a property in Somerville. Its colours are breathtaking. I was delighted to see two golden pheasants in the wild whilst driving around on my last trip to the UK. |
Isa Browns
How interesting and inquisitive are our Isa Browns! My friends had this lovely pot of pansies so I was inspired to let the chooks investigate them. |
It's our home now

Lionel
"Lionel" belonged to a friend and here he is strolling the garden on a beautiful sunny day. |
Pelican
A commission painting - Pelican Percy now resides in a lovely home not far from Merricks Beach. |
Proud Family
I was so excited when this family of geese crossed the road in front of me, as they moved from the pond to the grassed park area in Mornington, close to the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. I grabbed my camera and recorded the "Proud Family" as they stopped the traffic. |
Rainbow Lorikeets Lunch
This is an oil - elegantly framed - of one of my favourite birds, the Rainbow Lorikeet! They are very noisy at times but oh, so vibrantly beautiful. |
