During winter, when everything is cool and green, Red Hot Pokers are a magnificent sight on the Peninsula. Here I enjoyed watching Wattle Birds collect the seeds from the Pokers in the garden of the Balnarring Tennis Club. These hardy plants are available from Nobbies Plant Farm on the way to Flinders.
